I thought we were over this stage...

Just when things were going smoothly, a bump comes along in the road. Unfortunately, this bump is actually many bumps and they are in the gums of my little girl. It seems all I can talk about lately is teething, but that is what we are living at this time.

The current thing that has my husband and I all up in a tizzy, besides her being in pain, is the night waking. My kids have slept through the night for MONTHS so we are not enjoying the 1am screaming. What is a mother to do? I give her a little bit of Tylenol at night (which I hate doing, but I feel bad for her), but there isn't much else I know to do.

Mothers of teethers, I call for help!

The unknowns in motherhood really get to me. I am a type A person through and through and like everything planned, organized, and predictable. Then came twins.....

3 friendly things to say:

  1. I'm expecting twins in June and have been enjoying your blog. For teething (we have three other children), you can use essential oils. Mix one tbls. of olive oil with one drop of Chamomile essential oil. Rub a very small amount on the gums. Store the rest in the refrigerator, because they'll like the cool. Keep it out for a couple minutes before applying to thin the olive oil.

    Hope this helps! Good luck!

  2. Oh my goodness!! What cuties you have :)

Yep - teething is hard. I remember feeling bad for my kids as well. We did they Tylenol thing on nights when it was really bad.

Thank goodness this is one of those things you can definitely say is just a stage!

    Good luck :)

  3. My poor Bella..she looks like she needs a hug and snuggles from her mimi. One thing I know even with the pain she can still give you a smile. Maybe not in this picture

    .Hang in there honey
